Profile:
Mark has over 20 years of experience in intellectual property and registered as an Australian patent and trade marks attorney in 1994. His career commenced with a short stint as a Patent Examiner at the Australian Patent Office. He then held the position of Patents Consultant with Sirotech Ltd, the former technology transfer company of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), a position which provided Mark with invaluable experience of working side-by-side with commercialisation managers transferring new technologies to industry.

From 1993 through to 2006, Mark was in private practice in Melbourne and Sydney. Mark's practice primarily resides in the filing and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of life sciences and chemistry, as well as advising in relation to matters of due diligence including "freedom to operate" analysis and advice. Mark is a registered New Zealand patent and trade marks attorney. Mark is also a Councillor of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA).
